Josie Maran Argan Oil

<3 <3 Josie Maran Argan Oil=Elixir from heavens  <3  <3

When I first read about this oil, my first reaction was,”Hell Yeah! Like I`m gonna use oil on my oily skin!”  Then I completely ignored the product for months as I thought I am not their target demographic. Then a few months back, I was looking for some anti-aging solutions for my mum. From reading articles, I learnt that the best way is to delay the aging process rather than start fighting it till you are 40. After much consideration, I bought home JosieMaran Argan Oil(1.7 oz for $48 excluding tax) Seeing that little bottle, I thought it`s so expensive! Later that night, I was bored. So I opened that package and thought about using it but wasn`t sure. So I cleaned my face and mixed 4 drops of this lightweight oil with my moisturizer.

My skin was oily(Duh!!!) But not as oily as I expected it to be! It was a bit greasy but my skin was definitely not sticky. It had that light, dewy look. I went to bed and next morning when I woke up, my skin was baby`s butt soft(NOT KIDDING). Moreover it was not at all oily. Ever since, I am in love with this product and will definitely repurchase it(Actually I did, yesterday from Sephora). I don`t know how they are going to work as an anti-aging product. Only time will tell. But so far, I am impressed. Haven`t used it for hair or other body parts yet. But if I do, I will let you guys know.

One more thing, I know some people are conscious about using HALAL products only. As many cosmetics are known to have alcohol in them. This will be a great moisturizer for those who are looking for halal products. It can be used alone or with a moisturizer. I started using it when it was hot and sweaty in Bangladesh and it worked great! So obviously, when I am in a cold climate now, it`s feels so good using this product. Thanks to Josie Maran.

Much Love.

Drybar 100 Proof Treatment Oil

Drybar 100 Proof Treatment Oil—My “GO-TO” Hair Serum!!!

Dear friends,

Yes. I know. I am one of world`s laziest people. But so much stuff is going on right now, I haven`t had any time to review products. Okay, that`s partially wrong. But you get the idea.
As I promised earlier, today I am writing about Drybar 100 Proof Treatment Oil.  I had no clue whatsoever about this brand. I think 3 months back, I received a sample from Sephora. It was a really small sized glass vile, like the one we get as fragrance sampler.
I was visiting NY during that time. It was crazy cold over there. My hair is fine, somewhat smooth-textured, the scalp tends to get oily few hours after I wash my hair. But in NY, everything changed. My hair became rough. No matter how much I used conditioner, it stayed rough. And the flyways!!! I was really upset.
Then one day, after taking a shower, I don`t know why, I applied few drops of Drybar 100 Proof Treatment Oil on my hair. Then I brushed and air-dried my hair. I was so surprised to see that after drying, my hair was super soft! I kept touching my hair over and over. It is like a weightless leave on serum and only a few drops were more than enough to cover the length of my hair without looking greasy. I also got rid of the flyways and hair was more manageable. One thing though, I can`t figure out the smell. It`s familiar, but still don`t recognize what it is! But it smells kinda nice. And I have been using it like crazy for the past 3 months. After shower, before blowouts, after blowouts-You name it! And the great thing is, even in Bangladesh, where it`s hot and humid, this product works wonderfully. So I give this product 5 star!
After using the sample, I immediately bought a full sized bottle which was $35 excluding tax. Totally worth the money as I think it`ll take me months to finish the whole bottle. I recommend this product.
Let me know if you have a chance to use this product and whether you liked it or not.
Regards.

KAT VON D—Lock-It Powder Foundation (Medium 52)

KAT VON D—Lock-It Powder Foundation
(Medium 52)

I have always loved watching Kat Von D`s show “LA ink”, and during that show we used to see how creative Kat can be with her makeup. So when, more than 2 years back, I saw her makeup products in Sephora (Toronto) I was super excited to find out that she has an amazing makeup line. I bought one eye shadow palette and still can`t get over the fact how awesome her products are!

So a few weeks back, I was randomly going through the Sephora website, and there I saw it! The most anticipated(by me & Usha lol) product-KVD Lock-it Powder Foundation in 17 shades. I was not in a state to wait for reviews and then buy it later on. I trusted the name KVD so much that I immediately bought it!
My first impression of the product packaging is that-it looks neat, with sophisticated artwork done by KVD
herself. It`s a small round compact with the incredibility trusted initials on the surface.

With much anticipation, I opened the box and something was not right! Later, I figured out that the product is very little in amount(9g) which is half the product of M.A.C. but almost twice as expensive. But it really does not matter as the product is super pigmented and required only a little to cover my full face.

I have super oily, sensitive skin which tends to be sometimes warm-toned and sometimes cool-toned but I am not neutral (Super confusing, right? LMAO) The powder in the pan looks yellow-ish(Warm toned) but when I applied it onto my skin, it gave me a pinkish glow :P Still I don`t have any complaints whatsoever. Like I said, it is super pigmented, little goes a long way and if I mix it well, it doesn`t look fake.

The compact comes with its own little sponge which is soft and makes life easier as there`s quite a lot of fall outs if used with a brush. But I prefer to use is with it with my Sigma Buffing Brush as it gives my face an airbrushed look which looks natural and perfect for me. This powder also evens out my skin tone and get rids of any redness my skin has. It is build-able so if I want more coverage, I can always use a little bit more. Like it`s mentioned in the product description, the powder gives my skin a velvety smoothness.

The product box claimed it to be smudge, sweat and transfer proof. I agree. My skin does not look cakey at all. It also does not oxidize in my oily skin. But one thing, after a few hours of wearing it, my skin gets oilier than I would like it to be L which may be because I live in such a humid country!!!

Nevertheless, I am very much happy with my purchase. It cost me around $34(excluding tax) and I bought it from Sephora. I will definitely purchase it again. Regards.
